Looking back now, it’s difficult to articulate the significance and importance of what the orlando METAL awards had become. As the third installment of this annual event, the OMA had by this time developed a reputation for being the most anticipated event of the year. Bands and fans from all over the state attended both nights of "Beer Drinkin’ and Head Bangin’" in what has since become a legendary show in the annuls of Florida Metal History.
