WE'RE HERE TO HELP YOU!!!

FLmetal.com is here to help promote and support ALL Florida METAL Bands - so here are some general comments and helpful advice that all bands should consider taking advantage of.

1) All bands should begin by setting up their own MySpace account (duh!) - but don't stop there! There are plenty of other online resources such as PureVolume.com - OrlandoBands.com, and similar social websites to help you promote yourselves.

2) All bands who want to be taken seriously as professionals MUST have their own professionally built website - If your band is in need of a website, then email Matt@page12.com - I work cheap (although I may not be the cheapest - I gotta make something for my time!), and am open to negotiations, trades, ect. - If I can't help you, I know other web guys who can.

3) A press kit is absolutely necessary if your band wants to play outside your home town. We recommend using www.SonicBids.com to create an online Electronic Press Kit (EPK) - this site is perhaps the most popular, specific to the industry and is a good way to easily create an email-able press kit to potential booking agents.

Don't stop at an EPK, take the time to create a physical press kit that you can drop in the mail along with a demo CD - booking agents are often overwhelmed with bands looking to book shows, so make sure your press kit looks professional and sets you apart from the stack of other bands looking for the same gig!
