FLmetal.com began as the Orlando METAL Awards, a grass-roots, non-profit group of Orlando Heavy Metal fanatics working together to support the Florida Heavy Metal scene. We do this simply as a labor of love to help promote our Florida METAL scene, and the amazing wealth of talented METAL bands around the entire Sunshine State. A long time veteran and fan of the Orlando METAL Scene since the mid-80's, Mattdaddy had a crazy idea to create a local awards show loosely based on the infamous Tampa Bay Metal Awards that once existed promoting Florida's most talented bands. The Orlando METAL Awards pretty much took on a life of its own since that day, and thanks to the support of the bands, and fans, the OMA remains a vital part of the Central Florida METAL scene and has now grown into FLmetal.com! Mattdaddy is the founder of the Orlando METAL Awards, FLmetal.com, resident web-geek, so please contact him for anything web related.

Fclef is tireless supporter and friend of the Florida METAL Scene who maintains the FLmetal MySpace Page. You can find him lurking about at local METAL shows almost every weekend, drinking beer and taking pictures. If you have a show coming up that you'd like to see promoted make sure to hit him up (he works for free beer).
