THROUGH YOU releases "Family Values Tour" EP

Orlando, Florida's THROUGH YOU (Day of Infamy Music/Lupo Entertainment) has just released a seven-track digital-download EP that was previously sold exclusively at the Family Values Tour this summer. The digital-download EP, which contains two exclusive bonus tracks, is presently available on THROUGH YOU's MySpace page. THROUGH YOU captured national attention this summer on the Family Values Tour, where the band was upgraded from the second stage to the main stage by the end of the tour. LENNON update from AudioHammer

Orlando based singer-songwriter LENNON has completed work on her new metal project with producer Jason Suecof at AudioHammer Studios in Sanford. "I had a wonderful time working with Jason. He's the funniest child I know..." Lennon's new CD will b released sometime in 2008 with tour dates to follow. Below is a clip from the studio.

THE AUTUMN OFFERING new video online

THE AUTUMN OFFERING's video for the song "From Atrophy To Obsession" can be viewed below. The track comes off the Daytona Beach, Florida-based band's new album, "Fear Will Cast No Shadow", which came out on October 30 via Victory Records. The CD was recorded at AudioHammer Studios in Sanford, Florida with producer Jason Suecof (CHIMAIRA, TRIVIUM, BURY YOUR DEAD, DEVILDRIVER) and engineer Mark Lewis.

BLACK TIDE releases first EP

Miami, Florida-based hard rock band BLACK TIDE (formerly RADIO) has just released its first EP, entitled "Shockwave". Available for purchase at Hot Topic, the two-song disc includes the propulsive title track, "Shockwave", as well as the JUDAS PRIEST-like "Warriors of Time", exclusive video footage, sticker and guitar pick. The two songs are also available digitally through iTunes.

BLACK TIDE's video for "Shockwave" can be viewed by clicking here. The live footage in the clip was taken during the group's main-stage run on this past summer's Ozzfest tour.

"Shockwave" comes off the group's debut album, "Light from Above", which is due in February 2008 via Interscope Records. The CD was recorded with producer Johnny K, who has previously worked with DISTURBED, MACHINE HEAD and SOIL, among others.

PAIN PRINCIPLE "Waiting for the Flies" released Worldwide today!

Orlando's very own PAIN PRINCIPLE has at long last released their 3rd full length album "Waiting for the Flies" worldwide through Blind Prophecy Records. The album officially releases today in the United States, and has already been released in both Europe and Japan! We would like to wish the band the best of luck and much success with this latest effort and their upcoming tour to be announced shortly.

Moshfest 2007 / new site design

After neglecting the Orlando METAL Awards website for many months, the recent MOSHFEST 2007 was the inspiration needed to give the website a little overhaul. Photos are slowly being posted within the OMA FORUM for everyone to checkout, and re-live the experience.

A PHP developer is still needed to help make the OMA site more functional for bands to be able to upload their music, and edit their web pages. So if anyone is out there who wants to step up for the challenge, and help build a "social site" focusing on Florida's METAL community, please email me at: matt@orlandoMETALawards.com

CATALEPSY signs with Stillborn Records

Stillborn Records has signed up and coming Florida 6 piece, Catalepsy. The band just completed their debut full length, "Iniquity" at Miami 's Mana Studios with producer Brian Elliot. It's slated for a February 12th 2008 release date. Stillborn Records chief Jamey Jasta had this to say "It’s great adding yet another young & hungry band to our new and improved roster. Catalepsy crushes and I'm glad to have them on board. Plus they are from Florida, that state fucking rules and has produced so many great extreme bands!" Catalepsy is currently on tour with The Classic Struggle. To mark both the tour and signing, Stillborn has released a 5 song EP called "Godless," that is limited to 1000 copies. It features 2 tracks from the upcoming full length and 3 demo tracks. The EP is available exclusively on the road with the band, on the label's official web store and at the Stillborn merch booth at December's Stillborn Fest dates.
